Another one of our students, Bethany likes having a library at transition. “I love reading, it is a fun activity to do and something I am happy to do at transition. I really like having a library and being able to pick a book to read!"

    July 2017 Flood
In July 2017, the Round Lake Area experienced catastrophic flooding. Sadly, two school libraries were destroyed. Images of the flooding prompted support from local, state and regional organizations! Over 100,000 books were donated to RLAS-116 in hopes to replace the ruined books. In addition, many organizations donated monetarily - their donations helping to renovate these library/tech spaces into innovative spaces for children. The RLAS-116 Education Foundation served as a flow through organization for these donations. We are pleased to announce that Ellis Elementary School in Round Lake Beach and Murphy Elementary School in Round Lake Park are home to brand new Limitless Learning Commons!
